Securing your commission
You may upload up to five photographs of your pet via the Contact Form. Please read the ‘Tips to taking a good photograph of your pet’ which gives you advice on taking the best quality photos of your pet. Once I have had a look at the photos I will be in touch with you to discuss ideas and possibilities.I know how important our pets are to us so once we have confirmed the portrait details, I will require a non-refundable 25% deposit to secure your booking. Acceptance of the commission must be made in writing (email is acceptable). By accepting the commission, the Client agrees to the Terms and Conditions. The final 75% balance, plus postage and packaging, is payable once the work is completed and prior to shipping. The time a portrait takes to complete varies depending on the size of the subject. I will let you know a timeframe for a slot on my waiting list and will ensure I communicate regularly with you to keep you up to date with your commission. If you have a specific date you require the portrait for do let me know at the time of booking so that I can endeavour to complete it in good time.
Termination of Commission Request
The Client may terminate the commission request within 7 days of the initial deposit payment. In such cases, the deposit will not be refunded but may be applied to future commissions. If, Sarah Hemsley, the Artist, must cancel the commission due to unforeseen circumstances, the deposit will be fully refunded to the Client.
Privacy Policy
I only collect personal information necessary to process your order and complete commissions. I will never pass on any information to a third party except for purposes of fulfilling your order and if required to do so by law (eg: preventing fraud)
Delivery & Packaging
Once I have received your final payment, the completed drawing will be packaged securely and will be sent via Royal Mail with a tracking number so you can follow its journey to you. If the item is a gift, I can post it directly to the recipient if you so wish.
Refund Policy
My main focus is that you are pleased with your purchase, if you are not completely satisfied with your order for whatever reason, or it arrives damaged please contact me as soon as possible and we can resolve the issue.
Artwork Rights
All copyright for any commissioned portraits, photos and products made by Sarah G Hemsley Pet Portrait & Wildlife Artist belong to Sarah Hemsley. No individual, excluding the artist, has the right to reproduce any drawings, images or products.
Payment
I will issue an invoice via email once you have confirmed your order. This invoice will outline the required initial deposit, which must be received prior to the commencement of work. Upon completion of the commission, a revised invoice will be sent detailing the final balance due. The artwork will be dispatched once full payment has been received.
Sharing on Social Media
Sarah Hemsley, the Artist, reserves the right to share the commissioned artwork on social media and for portfolio purposes, unless specifically requested otherwise by the Client.
